The team behind The Foundry Recording Studios came to Sondhus with a vision of bringing a world-class facility to the Lehigh Valley, drawing inspiration from the region’s rich industrial heritage. This 6,000-square-foot complex is anchored by its flagship Studio A live room, designed for exceptional acoustic performance on live instrument recordings. Custom acoustic millwork in the space features a scatter pattern based on the studio’s logo, providing both visual identity and controlled diffusion.

Control Room A includes a large sliding glass partition that delivers unobstructed sightlines into the live room and a balanced response for accurate playback. Studio B complements the facility with a tighter, reflection-free live room paired with a control room offering linear response for critical listening. Studio C provides an intimate space where production and performance occur together, supporting a seamless collaborative workflow.

Two fully-equipped rehearsal rooms perform well enough acoustically to serve as temporary mix rooms, podcast setups, or other flexible uses. Three production rooms with complete monitoring and recording capabilities, along with a large lounge for clients to refresh between takes, round out a facility that supports every stage of the recording process.
